Love in the time of Covid
Around the world, many are still dying from the Coronavirus epidemic. Every day, the news gives us grim statistics of the numbers who have died or who have officially contracted this 21st century plague. However, little time is given to assessing the emotional, psychological or societal costs of the epidemic. In terms of personal loss, depression, loneliness, separation and relationship difficulties, the costs are incalculable. Here are several cartoons of mine that examine, in a light-hearted way, the deep, human cost of the Covid crisis.
These cartoons formed part of an exhibition of my cartoons. ‘PANDEMIC!’ was shown at the AGH university in Krakow during Novemver and December, 2021.
